Language Study Developing proficiency in a foreign language can greatly improve a student's confidence and self esteem as well as open up a new world of friendships and understanding. All of our students who are not living with a host family will have regular Spanish lessons in addition to their academic coursework. All of our students have daily contact with Argentines of all ages which aids in the development of their Spanish skills. The very best way to learn a foreign language and a new culture is to become immersed in the culture by living with a native family. At Pathways Abroad , we aspire to place our students in a home- stay that will contribute to their personal growth and language development. Students are placed with host families once they have completed the first two phases (the Home Phase and the Introduction to Community Phase). We provide personal and logistical support for each student who is living with a host family. We regularly facilitate group activities which involve music and cultural events, day and weekend trips, overnight camping. These group activities give our students a chance to reconnect and share experiences with each other and also allows the host family some down time.
